Day 8 - Picton

South Island here we come...!!
We did all our bookings at Wellington I-site, a visitor information...anything from enquiry to bookings they can help you with it, bagus oh kan.
They booked our Interislander Ferry from Wellington to Picton at 8.25am and arrives at 11.35am $45/pp(winter promotion), then catch the Intercity bus at 1.00pm and should arrive Christchurch 6.50pm for $26/pp, the I-site guy gave us the super saver fare..normal $51/pp...I'm so happy...
For accomodation at Christchurch, we booked online at Wotif.com, and found one motel accomodation Westside motor lodge offerred stay 2nites, 3rd nite stay free...$99x2=$198/3=$66 per night!!!! Just perfect...

So, at 7.30am kami sudah di Railway station, waiting inside the glass cubicle for the free shuttle bus to the ferry terminal at 7.40am. After sudah sampai terminal, after checked-in our luggage, suddenly ada announcement yang ferry kena delayed till 11.00am..!!! Konon bad weather at cook strait sea. Sya sama Gerry pun panik..."Macamanalah bus kita?" "mana sempat tu naik bus di Picton..." Macamanalah tempat tinggal yang kita sudah bayar tu..?" ...

Nasib tu free shuttle kasih kami naik bus balik railway station pigi city...(untuk buang masa kali..!!) until 10.30am balik lagi pigi ferry terminal...so semua tu orang yg kana stranded bercerita dalam bus, pun sama nasib macam kami. Kunun dorang bilang, tu interislander provide busses to sesiapa yang miss dorang punya bus. Tapi sya sama Gerry mau minta juga kepastian, so kami terus pigi tu I-site.

So the i-site person, Doris, tolong call the bus punya operator, yang kami patut ambil di Picton, yang ferry kami kena delay. Memang kami akan miss tu bus, next bus should be next morning 9.40am...alamak!!

"But we already booked our accomodation at Christchurch..!!" So si Doris call hotel kami, tu hotel bilang, dia kasih refund tu duit yg 1nite kami tidak tinggal...ok, so that settled.

"Then, where would we stay at Picton?" Then si Doris tolong lagi kami book this one backpackers lodge just 150m jauh from the station, at Picton Lodge for us double room for $55, but shared bathroom. Tapi we don't mind asal ada tempat tinggal, lagipun 1nite saja...so settle...

Wah, nasib ada tu i-site..."Thanks Doris, from Wellington i-site.."

At 10.30am kami naik tu free shuttle lagi sampai terminal. Then ada announcement yang kami bulih board sudah tu ferry, semua orang trus happy, ada lagi tapuk tangan...hehe

Kami naik the Kaitaki ship, punya main besar lagitu ferry, ada 8 decks!!!...before tu ferry jalan at 12.30pm, ada 2 announcement lagi.
1st, itu laut sangat rough skarang, tapi dorang akan proceed jalan juga, sesiapa yang tidak mau ikut ni ship skarang, boleh turun. Betul juga lah masa kami sana cook strait, punya basar tu ombak, bikin takut betul...tapi ramai juga orang kesiokan tinguk tu ombak besar, ooooh!! aaah!!mulau...miring-miring lagi kami jalan dalam tu ferry.
2nd,siapa yang ada motion sickness, bagus makan tu pill mabuk laut. Nasib juga lah sya & Gerry makan, sebab bilang Gerry masa dia pi toilet noponu muntah di sink...eeww!!!
